Vocational Training Center

Opportunity Village Nepal (OVN) operates a dedicated Vocational Training School in Pokhara with a strong focus on empowering women, children, and socially marginalized communities. The center offers market-driven skills training and entrepreneurship development programs, helping participants move toward economic sustainability and self-reliance.

Recognizing the critical need for economic empowerment, the center prioritizes support for survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, at-risk individuals, marginalized and underprivileged women and girls. Through practical training, mentorship, and job linkage opportunities, OVN equips individuals especially women and youth with the tools they need to lead dignified, independent lives.

In addition to vocational training, the center also provides social empowerment through various in-house sessions focused on life skills, self-confidence, and rights awareness, fostering holistic development.

1.Aim of the project

1.1 Goal

The goal of the project is to empower young girls and women by fostering entrepreneurship through comprehensive vocational skills training, thereby contributing to sustainable community development.

1.2 Objectives of the project.

• Enhance the vocational skills of young women and girls through specialized training.
• Support entrepreneurship development through comprehensive business and livelihood assistance.

Major Trainings and Capacity

• 3 Months Basic Computer Training – 70 participants
• 6-Month Tailoring Training – 20 participants
• 6-Month Beauty Parlor Training – 10 participants
• Short-Term Vocational Trainings – 30 participants
