Children Home Overview.

Promotion of the Rights of Vulnerable Nepali Girls project is implemented in Pokhara Kaski District. Opportunity Village Nepal runs a Child Protection Home providing formal and non-formal education, rehabilitation and reintegration of children who are survivors of human trafficking and exposed to vulnerabilities. Their fundamental rights are ensured by the Child Protection Home. The Child Protection Home is registered with the District Child Welfare Committee, Kaski  and National Child Rights Council (NCRC). Providing services in accord with the “Standards for Operation and Management of the Residential Child Care Home, 2012” implemented by the Government of Nepal.

Goal and Objectives.

  • Provide care and protection to 25–30 girls at risk and after-care services to the youths who are reintegrated in their families and communities.
  • Provide education support and Income Generation support to the families of children at risk thus prioritizing the care of children in their families.
  • Treat all children and person/s in vulnerable situation/s with respect, compassion, dignity, and equity.
